My Headcanon Future: Applejack

AJ didn't know what it is was about Caramel that she was so attracted to; his looks, his charm, or the fact that he was always checking her out. Every time she went out to sell apples in the marketplace she'd notice him just watching her with a smirk. After a few days he seemed to finally make up his mind and he actually talked to her. Usually AJ was a very calm and relaxed pony, but as soon as he walked up she got nervous and stuttered when she talked to him. He was smooth and asked her out. Once they started dating she introduced him to the family and he started helping out on the farm. Only when she was around though. Big Mac warned her that there was something about Caramel he didn't like, but her stubborn pride wouldn't listen. 

Not too long after they started dating, AJ got pregnant. When she told Caramel he flipped out and almost left her. If it wasn't for their good friends they wouldn't have stayed together to raise their foal. Caramel decided not to leave, but he never made any promises he would stay. After 8 months of fighting and struggling, Applejack gave birth to her first child, a golden coated colt with brown hair with blonde streaks in it, and teal eyes. At first Applejack struggled with her new foal, every time she looked at him she was reminded of his father, and was filled with doubt. What if Caramel left her? Would she forever be haunted by her child because of him? Because of these doubts she never named her foal and usually had her friends look after him for her. Through that year Caramel changed a lot though, and matured a bit. He warmed up to his son, and after nearly a year, Caramel finally decided he was ready to marry Applejack. At first she refused because of her stubborn pride she was still angry at him. But once she saw how he dedicated himself over the next few months trying to prove himself to her, she realized how much he had matured and changed, and she told him he had proven himself, and she accepted his proposal. They had a very loud and crazy country wedding; perfect for the Apple family. Even after they were married though, AJ was a bit scarred from the past and wouldn't let him get too cozy with her. Now that Caramel had matured and learned some respect, he respected her wishes. He learned to love her in better ways, and after a while their relationship was finally fully fixed. A few days before his first birthday, Applejack finally named their colt Apple Buck.

Buck grew up to be a very strong, hardworking, and charming colt. Because of his charm he is a very good salesman and often helped his mom sell apples. He is also very honest, so he is very dependable and you know he's telling the truth when he charms you. He has his mother's strength and is exceptional at bucking apple trees. He got his cutie mark as a young colt when he accidently bucked down a young apple tree.

When Buck was about 6 years old, AJ had another foal, a filly this time. She was a pale red filly with lime green eyes, and messy blonde hair. They named her Red Gala. Gala was spunky, opinionated, independent, and also strong like her mother. Unlike most Apples, Gala had some manners and cared more about her appearance. Don't get the wrong idea, she definitely isn't prissy about dirt or a pushover; she just likes to keep her mane nice, cleans her hooves after she's done with chores, and definitely doesn't burp. Despite this though her family and thus the farm always comes first, so she gladly helps buck apples and feed the pigs and whatnot. When Red Gala was younger she loved trying on her mothers hat, and so when she was older AJ gave it to her. She loves her hat and the cute country look it gives her. Regardless of being somewhat of a proper pony, Gala was an Apple at heart and found her talent in cooking. She loved the sweet smell and taste of apples combined with all sorts of different flavors. She learned to cook many things from her Great-Granny Smith before she passed away, so once she was gone Gala took over the kitchen responsibilities. Everything she had learned to cook had been hearty country meals like biscuits and gravy, cornbread, casseroles, potatoes, and of course apple pies and whatnot. However, one day she went with her friend Jewel and her mother to Canterlot because she had always wanted to get off the farm for just a little while. While they were there she experienced all sorts of new foods that she fell in love with. Although she was a bit of a big eater, her favorites were these tasty little snacks called hors d'ouevres. It was just a bite of food on a small stick, yet they held so much flavor. When she returned home she started making them with some of her family's famous apple dishes; creating apple tarts on a stick, a bite-sized apple pie ball, apple slices dipped in honey and caramel, the possibilities were endless! She earned her cutie mark when she sold all of her apple hors d'ouevres at the fair and ponies were asking for boxes of them later. A trio of apple slices appeared on her flank and after that she started a catering side-business for cocktail hours of every occasion.

Nowadays Buck mainly helps with all the heavy lifting chores on the farm like plowing and pulling carts, and spends the rest of the time managing the apple stand. Gala takes care of most of the cooking and cleaning, AJ does most of everything else, and Caramel helps out but his main job is selling. The rest of their family help out too of course; Big Mac pulls plows and carts all day long, his daughter Honey Crisp helps out whenever she can, Fluttershy helps if they need it, Applebloom fixes things up and takes care of the orchards, and her son Pippin tries to help out with gardening with his mom. Now with their family grown in numbers, the Apples have extended their orchards and have a lot more free time.
